In correspondence with Luigi Alamanni, Annibal Caro, and Anton Francesco Doni, Caccia was described by the latter as a “universal man,” given the breadth of his interests. Edited by Benedict Buono—already a scholar of Caccia and his Petrarchan and playful works—this volume presents his spiritual and moral writings, accompanied by a rich historical and philological commentary.
