Zusammenfassung:At the beginning of the 21st century, the role that the history of law should play in the training of jurists cannot be the same as the discipline played in the last century, hence the importance of reflecting on the scope that from now on the subjects of historical content should have in the different curricula in which the knowledge of law in its historical dimension has a place. The delimitation of the role to be played by historical education requires reflection on the three traditional dimensions of knowledge, the material, spatial and temporal dimensions. This is the reasoning that justified the first symposium of the Spanish Society of Law Historians.
